Be honest & communicate
We really appreciate when you are up front about everything. If you ever have any issues or concerns share it – often times it is just a misunderstanding or a clarification that needs to be addressed. It is better to discuss it with them than holding back. Always remember to be as clear as possible when you are chatting with vendors via email or phone.
Be nice
Being nice to people goes a long way. Show them the same respect that you expect in return. Planning can get stressful, however being mindful that your vendors are only there to make sure that your day goes as plan – it allows us to be willing to go an extra mile if we have to. Remember to keep a positive relationship with all of them.
Pay them on time
Your vendors are working for you and deserve to be paid on time. Imagine working for your boss and when pay day comes he tells you he forgot! You would feel unappreciated. Make an effort and set a reminder for yourself.
Don’t change your mind every other week
It definitely happens – brides will see something they love and want to change the original plan. That’s fine! But be mindful of how many times you do that. When you cant stick to one idea you only slow down the planning process.
Say Thank you.
Showing gratitude all around makes a world of a difference. If a vendor knows that you appreciate them, they go above and beyond for you.
